Wednesday was Sophia’s birthday! We celebrated by having a dress up tea party at our house. All of the little girls had so much fun getting all dolled up in fancy dresses, princess shoes, hats, boas, gloves and lots of jewelry! They all sat at our dining table and ate pb&j finger sandwiches, ham and cheese finger sandwiches, cheese cubes, fruit and the best strawberry cupcakes I have ever put in my mouth! The party ended with Sophia sitting in time out, so all in all it was a success!
Sophia is definitely a big girl now. She makes us smile all the time and is a joy to be around most of the time. She is growing more independent every day and still loves to think that she is Lola’s mommy. She remembers everything about anything that she has ever seen or heard. She is still a rule follower and is quick to point out when anyone does something they are not suppose to do. Sophia NEVER says a word to anyone that she does not know, no matter how hard they try to be her friend. The only thing she ever gets in trouble for is her smart mouth, which is a daily battle. I am so glad that God surprised us with Sophia for she is such a blessing!
This morning we went for Sophia’s 4 year check-up and her doctor confirmed what I had already suspected. We were referred to an ENT to have her tonsils taken out. For the past several months Sophia’s sleeping habits have gone from bad to worst and she started snoring. Since I had to have my tonsils taken out as a child for similar reasons I knew that this would be coming. Her left tonsil is way more enlarged than her right and she failed her hearing test on the left ear. The pediatrician said that it would be best to get this over with as soon as possible to help her sleeping and hearing, and so that she would be recovered before pre-school starts in the Fall. Please keep her in your prayers because if you know her, you know that this will be very traumatic for our little drama queen!
Here are pictures from her big day and her very massive birthday present…

Getting her hair do for the party!

and don’t forget about Lola…

Until next time…peace out!
