Today I had a Mothers Day lunch at Sophia’s school. They have one every year, but this year Sophia’s teachers outdid themselves. When all the Moms walked in our kids met us at the door and walked us to our seats. The room was dimly lit and there was Italian music playing. We ate spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and salad. Then there was Italian cream cake for dessert. The tables were decorated with our childrens artwork and for our gift, we received a cookbook that all the kids in Sophia’s class contributed to. Every child had their own page with their favorite recipe and some random information about themselves that they all answered on their own. Here is what Sophia’s said…
Mommy’s mac-n-cheese by Sophia Green
instructions:
-put it in the microwave on number 5
-just put cheese on it
-split it in half with a knife for me and Lola
-put it in little holes, but usually Lola scrubs it all in her hair and mommy says, “no! that is nasty”!
my age: 3
my favorite food: twizzlers
my mommy smells like: roses (thank goodness she said this and not a dog like 2 other kids put!)
my mommy’s favorite color: red
my mommy’s favorite flower: purple flowers
what I would like to tell my mommy: I am ready to go!
I love Mothers Day! Every year Keith makes it really special and always gets me a really neat gift. This year I emailed him on March 29th (to be exact) and gave him the link to the exact present that I wanted. So yesterday Keith informed me that he had to go to the mall today after work to get my present. I was like, “why do you have to go to the mall? I told you what I wanted weeks ago and it can only be received in the mail.” Keith then says, “what are you talking about, you never told me what you wanted.” I then say, “oh yes sir, I sent you an email with all the information over a month ago.” Keith, “oh, it must have gone to my spam.” I’m glad all of your wife’s emails go straight to spam! Whatever.
Anyway, here are some pics from my luncheon. Happy Mothers Day!
