Today is Keith and my 5 year wedding anniversary, and the past 5 years have been very busy. For those of you that don’t know our story, here it is in a nutshell…
We briefly met one day at Nordstrom, Keith was a manager there and I was a frequent shopper! One day on my lunch break he rang me up and gave me a sample of on of my favorite perfumes to this day, D & G Light Blue. That was about it. Fast forward 6 months, I was at a Christmas party that I didn’t want to be at, and in walks Keith. He remembered me, we talked all night and attempted salsa dancing. I gave him my digits and 2 weeks later the date had been set! It seems ridiculous looking back, especially since we had absolutely nothing in common, and still don’t for that matter. But we were in love and that is all that mattered at the time.
So, we got married, lived in Plano, moved to Forney, moved to Kansas City, got pregnant with Sophia, moved back to Dallas, had Soaps, moved back to Forney, went on a second honeymoon in Mexico, got pregnant with Lo, and here we are at 5 years all of the sudden. Whew!
Tonight we will celebrate with dinner at Oceanaire and then another attempt salsa dancing at Mambo Cafe. The night alone with no 3 year old taking over the bed in the middle of the night is what I am most looking forward to!
We have had our ups and downs like any other couple, but I am still crazy about my husband! He still kisses me the second he walks through the door and asks how my day was. He still brings home flowers and my favorite magazine for no reason. He still opens my car door and holds my hand and hugs me all the time. He still tells me that I look hot all the time. He still grabs my booty when I walk by him, and not because he thinks he’s getting lucky, but because he likes it! I know girls, you’re jealous, and I would be too!
Thank you Honey for the best 5 years of my life!
